The notification shade seems to lock at the bottom when I swipe down. I can no longer swipe up from the bottom to swipe it away. I looked in settings but didn't see anything to adjust it.

Try a soft reboot by turning your phone Off and On @Dondagun

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask. 😎

Let me clarify a bit more, seems this is new. I have to swipe up through all the notifications until I reach the bottom then it swipes away. On my S21U I could just swipe from the bottom and swipe it away without having to scroll through all my notifications.

Have a look in Settings > Home Screen > Toggle On > Swipe Down for Notification Panel.

I think that's so you can swipe down from anywhere on the screen to get the notification panel. This is more of an issue of swiping it away. It's rather annoying when I swipe down to see a specific notification and then have to scroll through all notifications rather than a quick swipe up and away to close the shade.

I'm not sure then as my notification shade goes back up without having to scroll through any unread notifications.

Hmmm, so this is an isolated issue? I can swipe it back up so long as I don't release the swipe-down shade, the moment I let it go the panel goes down to the bottom and the only way to swipe it back up is to scroll through until I'm at the bottom then I can swipe it away.

I'm guessing so 🤔

You could try > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

Is your notification panel full? it works normally when it's not. It's only when there are more hidden notifications below.

Nah, it's been like that for a while. If you have more notifications than can be displayed at once then swipping up is just first scrolling down, then once you've reached the last notification, the next swipe up closes the shade. If you want a single swipe up to close it, you can try swiping on the very top of the shade, the section where the quick tiles are. Obviously this is not super ergonomic. Just clear your notifications lol
