S24+ camera noise levels

Hi, I recently received the s24+ direct from Samsung. The camera when taking a photo in relatively dim light (certainly not dark) is displaying a remarkable amount of noise (see photo). I have tried expert raw after reading about that in another forum but noise is still apparent (not to the same extent). I note DXO commented about noise on the Ultra too so it appears to be a common problem perhaps ? Can you advise if this is going to be addressed in an imminent update please ? It's really quite a deal breaker if not. Many thanks.

Unfortunately we can't advise you here what will or won't be addressed i.e a software update, from the forum as we are fellow customers here helping each other along with a Samsung Community Forum Team.

Maybe one of the members will along shortly to help with some settings you might nkw have thought to try.

You can also send feedback via your Samsung Members App Members_KzvsfGn

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@BigLem

The stock camera is really bad on release date but it improves with subsequent  firmware updates. But as @BandOfBrothers mentioned no forum member knows what Samsung will fix or not fix.

Please report the issue via the Members App. That is the best way for Samsung to know and might do something about it.

Open the Members App - > Support tab - Scroll down to Feedback -> Report errors and follow the steps.

I have noticed the same problem.. serious levels of noise (not only dark environments).. very disappointed so far with this camera. My z fold 4 is far superior right now.

I have S24 Ultra and from my experience all my Samsung phones, including this one, have this problem with the pictures and for all the phones it has been fixed after a while of buying them with software updates, so I have faith in that. They all have become to take sharp pictures after they received updates. One of my tips is that I use the 'remaster' feature on my phone after I take a picture and that fixes quite alot. To access this feature you have to press the 'i' button under the picture and than drag the picture from the down left corner inside the picture and you will see the 3 AI stars, press on it and you will be able to remaster your pictures.

Thank you very much. I appreciate the reassurance. I like the phone, just a couple of things to be ironed out (I've noticed the screen scroll is a bit 'jerky' even on adaptive) again I hope it's software and not Exynos related.. 🤞Thank you again for the response.

Hi Big Lem. You are very welcome, with all their lows, I still love Samsung phones and I believe they are the best for me. I generally have been happy with every Samsung Handsets I have used and I prefer to stick with them, as I owned other brands as well and I wasn't satisfied.

I think the screen might be a bit jerky because of something that's happening in the background of the phone, maybe some system adaptation or something, but even with this, I think it's fast enough and I am not too worried about it. The phone still runs soft enough for me to make me happy. I hope this can be solved with a software upgrade though.

Tbh I don't think it's an Exynos problem, because I owned a S20 Ultra and the screen it's smooth as butter and I have active every power saving setting I could find on it, it runs with 60 Ghz speed too.
