I'm with EE and can confirm when I'm inside my home signal drops anywhere from 1 to 3 bars and outside have no issues full bars all the time, it is unfortunate, but so far had no solutions, it does say my area is fully covered and theres no issues though.
Also EE claims that they are not responsible for single coming into property.

Just as a process of elimination can you try your sim card in the secondary sim slot @DaveBrim

However your comment when reimagined isn't that far off the mark despite what @keith30 says.
It all comes down to which spectrum the network operator uses. Some spectrum is better at long distance coverage, some better going through walls so indoor coverage and other spectrum better in busy (usually more urban) areas.
