New Update is Aweful

Just downloaded the new UI update and I hate it.  If I wanted a ***** IPhone, I'd buy a ***** IPhone.   Why must we compete with apple... (rhetorical)  but we don't have to be exactly like apple.  One of the biggest reasons I loved Android is that it wasn't an iPhone.  Now with this new update, my app screen is the same, notification window and settings window is basically the same.  Can't anyone think for the selves anymore and creat something new, rather than jumping on the same il dumb ass apple train... I swear gets any worse I'm going back to a flip phone... and not a Samsung one... shame on you!

Hi! I apologize if this has personally affected you—but to be clear, it's a matter of a figure of speech and opinion. Being on the internet, you must prepare for that, as not everyone will sugarcoat everything for you.

Me saying "personally" means I'm sharing my thoughts on the subject. "If I can use it, I couldn't care less; much bigger things"—"much bigger things in the world" is a figure of speech, not a literal statement on the world's hardships.

It is absolutely great to share opinions! And I shared mine—so I will continue doing so on these forums.

What world do you live in? I have spent hours online and on-phone trying to "tweak" and adjust. Change the new icons and colors? How do I tweak those? New status bar (that is barely visible and has that weird battery pill), how do I make it bigger so I can actually see the statuses? Weird notification scrolling window, how do I get rid of it. Search feature that lists ALL of the "topics" behind the search bar (not below where you can actually scroll and see them, and the topics are pretty much useless). There are so many cosmetic changes in this update with no way to revert. Samsung literally is forcing their new aesthetics on us with no way to revert to the comfortable, old stuff that we spent years tweaking. I won't buy another Samsung after this mess.

If there's so many problems and it makes you this furious, maybe you should switch away from Samsung instead of word saying it. It won't make a difference to anyone else in the world but yourself. This is meant by no disrespect, but advice to try help you de-stress yourself.

Its ben sadly like this since one ui 3 and up like why is everything so big with wide spaces and bloaty its unuseable and hidous i could see my pish notifications across the room with how giant they are! why is there a volume slider next to brightness?! Why are the shortcut tabs gone everything is giant pile of mess now nobody cares about ai why are the default widges so tiny fontwise and size wise now and the round edges look terrible ive ben making older one ui updates work with customization apps but i think this is unsaveable without an os update i want to downgrade to one ui 6.1 again which was already a chore to use with the bloaty things it introduced yet somehow its gotten worse ...

1) I did say I wouldn't be buying Samsung again.

2) If you are happy with the upgrade, I am glad for you. Personally, I am not happy with the changes and this is the forum provided to address concerns. 

Samsung doesn't appear to allow direct contact and they say they monitor these boards to get feedback for their products. Some of the boards have 200+ pages of complaints about the UI-7 update, so I am obviously not the only person not happy with this. My only reason for posting on a board was to add my "me too" with specifics of what I personally don't care for.

I agree with you totally. The new UI 7 isn't good. Also, despite ignoring the upgrade attempts prompt it just installed and restarted anyway. I was so annoyed while I was using my phone too. Once it finally finished none of my settings came back and then Gemini kept popping up. I HATE that and I wish I could delete that thing totally. I'm a human and I don't need an AI assistant EVER. I'm not some boomer that can't work their phone either.

I have a custom launcher installed with my own customizations loaded for fonts, icon, wallpapers, menu interfaces, etc. so I can customize 95% of everything on my phone, but now with the new UI I'm very limited. I HATE rounded apps and boxes, they just look like ***** and I'm annoyed everytime I have to look at my phone.

If they don't figure out a way to fix this  UI I'm going back to my Blackberry that I could do anything I wanted with. Major disappointment for us Android folks. I don't want an Apple phone or any of it's propaganda BS associated with it. That will be the day I cease to have a cell phone if that's my only option.

I really don't like the new update in fact it's so annoying the top drop down menu is awful I preferred the original
