I updated my Galaxy S23 FE to One UI 7.0 (Android 15) and I’m seriously regretting it. The app drawer search bar being moved to the bottom is just so annoying. I never even use that search bar, and now it’s always in the way. I usually scroll through my apps manually, and this new layout makes it harder — especially since I don’t have long fingers. Reaching the top row of apps is now super awkward.
And what’s up with the notification panel? Every time I swipe down, it skips my notifications and just opens the quick settings panel. It's messing up my whole workflow and making basic stuff way more frustrating than it needs to be.
I’ve searched through all the settings and can’t find a way to move the search bar back to the top or fix the notification swipe behavior. Is anyone else dealing with this or found a workaround? Because this update feels like a downgrade.

Do you mean your quick panel you've lost when swiping down? if so I've managed to get that back. My notifications are there as normal. If it is your quick panel that you've lost, I managed to get this back: If you swipe down with your finger directly on the top right hand corner where you see your remaining charge and coverage symbol, your quick panel notifications will appear. If you then click on the pencil symbol to edit, then panel settings which you'll see on the top left. This shows you how your notifications are viewed and it's highlighted as seperate, so click on the word together. Now go to the home button, swipe down, your quick panel should be back to normal.

I know where my apps are on my own phone. I rarely use the find bar to find anything. I used to put my most used apps at the bottom of the app drawer so that they can be accessed with my index finger.
Now Samsung has put a stupid search bar on there that I never use and I need to use both hands to do anything on my phone.
Keep up with this Apple ***** and my next phone wouldn't be a Samsung. If if I wanted someone else to tell me how my phone should look like, I would have bought an I phone in the first place.

Samsung and/or Google, please change this. or put the results at the bottom of the screen. Now I have to swipe up mid-screen, move to the bottom to search, then move to the top of the screen to select the app. I'm moving all over the phone. This is less efficient. Previously it was all in the top section. Either move the search bar back to the top, or the results to the bottom of the screen.

The problem is that it is SO dumb to activate the apps drawer/page by SWIPING UP only for the search bar to be at the bottom. It's completely backwards for UX.
Apple have the search bar at the bottom BUT low and behold you SWIPE DOWN to access the drawer so hey presto clever UX.
Gahhhh
Editing to add that what is missing is the option to customise first and foremost.
