New S24U - do I need to register it?

Maybe a dumb question but just bought and set up new s24u (smartswitch can only do so much..phew!)
Aside from using samsung account when setting up do I need to register the new mobile with samsung for warranty purposes or is this automatic when setting up?

You don't need to register it, although you can for a better experience (so they claim).

@emeles Congrats on your new S24 Ultra! The standard warranty of 24 months is automatically registered when purchased. You can always register your phone onto your Samsung Account. Take a look at the link provided by @Robin999 which will guide you on this.

@emeles  Mobile Devices are usually registered automatically upon set up.  However check on the Members App,  Support-My Products.  If  not registered follow the advice given and would say registration generally is advisable for all products.

Thanks, seems when using samsung account to set up mobile it automatically registers device.
