It's possible that your network is testing 5G in your area.

Or you have a false positive showing.

Try a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On @swoo9

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@swoo9  if  still issues  after a Reboot and not interested in possible  5G testing, you may wish to switch to the LTE setting.   Settings-Connections-Mobile Networks-  LTE   Auto Connect rather than the 5G/LTE Auto Connect.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

That is unusual. Like mentioned, they could be testing 5G at certain locations.
I've noticed my S24 Plus is showing the correct icon for 4G/4G+ in my area. However, when I do some travelling it switches to showing the 5G icon, because of getting hold of the 5G signal.
