  • I changed the firmware on my S24 from U firmware to U1 firmware, and now my phone only shows 4G and not 4G+. Before the firmware change, it was showing 4G+, so is it the firmware affecting it, or...?

It could be loads of things. I'd probably put it down to signal and cell towers near you. I personally see 4g+ maybe twice a year, it's rare in the uk. Not many towers use it

But before I changed firmware, the 4G+ was shown all the time, but after flashing U1 firmware, I can't get 4G+.

Wait a sec, mind explaining U and U1 firmware? If you were flashing firmware to your device via odin, that might have caused an issue. You shouldn't really be flashing anything unless it's an emergency software recovery with smart switch.

(I literally just woke up so thought you were saying you did a normal system update)

It is firmware change. You gain something you lose something moving from one to another

Some firmwares have different radio bands enabled for the networks they will receive. So the firmware you flashed may not have the 4g+ band enabled. As long as the CSC code reads XAA then there's not much difference between U and U1 firmware. U is US unlocked and U1 is US carrier unlocked.

Go back to the original firmware. Sammobile is the best site to download firmware.
