So I've had the S24+ (europe) now for 3 weeks and I've noticed a considerable difference in using Mobile data vs wifi. When out and about using bluetooth + mobile data vs wifi + mobile data, the mobile data will lead to much more battery drain (even without bluetooth) and the phone sometimes warms up.
I have no idea if this is normal or not or Samsung can release an update to optimise this but I thought it was noticeable enough.
Mobile data will generally use more battery than WiFi. Do you have 5G included in your network mode? If you're in a fringe area that could lead to more battery drain as 5G switches on and off. It's worth looking at and perhaps posting your battery activity in settings. Also a good tip to try is to clear the partition cache if you haven't already (loads of posts on here on how to do that). Hope this helps a bit
Thanks man. Yeah I know how to clear partition cache, but didn't think this was necessary as the phone is brand new.
Thanks I thought I was losing it or something looool. I do travel to a place where the signal strength does fluctuate, so thanks for the clarification.
If u have Accubattery, can u share your battery usage in deep sleep? I've noticed there's a significant difference between deep sleep usage on wi-fi vs. mobile data - like over .5% per hour.
Wipe Partition Cache on a brand new phone should not be necessary unless you bought settings and apps etc over via SmartSwitch in which case it would be a sensible move to keep your device working sweet.
