Anyone else just find their phone has just issue after issue with the update.

Apps won't load, have to routinely clear cache/force stop for them to open.

Battery seems poor

Buttons and touch screen input lag

Is it just me?!

Oh really, where did you get your overheating warning? I got my overheating warning because I had my phone on a Magsafe phone holder on my car dashboard, it was a very hot day in the UK around 28° & my phone was wirelessly charging. But I don't think it was my phone's fault more user error than anything on my part.

How often do you restart your phone? I suggest setting up auto optimisation with a daily restart in the early morning while you're sleeping. Mine is set to restart my device daily at 3 a.m. This could help you with your cache issue.  I also have my battery optimisation set with my device to stop charging at 80% if you haven't got battery optimisation on I would say turn it on and see if that helps with your battery life issues.

I had my s10 as a satnav, it was in the sun in the car. I was in the middle of south Wales when it went bang. I had no clue where j was or where to go! I learned to keep them iht of the sun now.
So far I've opened the window, one more app that wont open it is gaining wings.

One was in my car but down in the centre console infront of gear stick so it's a sort of 'in and under' keeping it out of sun, but, it was connected to android auto through Bluetooth - car was warm but air-conditioning was going. The second time was whilst I was at home working and checked my phone. I only restart it if it dies or updates. Where would I find the auto optimisation please. If it restarts, will it still allow alarms to go off etc. I do already have the battery saver/health thing where it pauses charging and starts at 6am.

You will find the auto optimisation here | settings > device care > auto optimisation > then the schedule should be on that page for you.

I hope Samsung sees all these feed backs and get this software with new software like the ones previously installed.
Listen up Samsung and wakeup to the your messed-up software. If not sorted sooner I will be looking for my money back. Spent over £1000 on S24+ in September 2024.
