My S24 updated on Thursday (5/22/25). Since then, I have not been able to unlock my phone. I am 100% sure I am using the correct draw pattern, but it says it is not correct. I have now been locked out of my phone going on 4 days. I don't want to do a factory reset because I don't want to lose any data that isn't backed up. (I know I should have made sure my back up was on all the time) Also, this is major problem as I am a nurse who is on call at times and cannot receive any calls or messages. Samsung only suggestion is a factory reset, which I don't want to do. I feel this is due to the update and needs to be corrected by Samsung. I have found several articles that stated on the initial roll out of this update they had to pause it because this was an issue and should have since been corrected. I reached out to AT&T and google account as well, they say this is a Samsung issue.
Any help without doing a factory reset would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue, I have now cleared the cache partition now, waiting for the timer to reduce so that I could try the pattern again.

That didnt help for me, I hope you still have recover codes for the associated google account

Well no luck for me either yet, but at least I do not have any issues accessing my Google account, I assume that means you had to hard reset the phone?

Unfortunately no solution at this time. I am told by samsung, at&t and the local phone tech store that my only option is a factory reset. Which I refuse to do because my dad passed away in Feb and I want to make sure I have all the pictures. I know some of them were not backed up . ( My mistake, I'm human). I had no clue an update would do this and that samsung would not have a solution.
The local phone tech store said with the latest update they have really encrypted files so that people can not hack into phone. He said he has not yet figured out a work around other than factory reset. He also said you can try every unlock code possible and even then it might not ever open your phone.
I am hearing about more and more people that are having this issue. This is not right and Samsung needs to do something about it.
I ended up buying a new phone because I do not want to lose the last pictures of my dad that I had.
I get to try 1 pass code every 24 hours. I am literally trying a different one every time and writing it down in hopes that one day I can get my pictures.
