i waited a long time to get the s24 ultra as it is the only design of a phone i truly love nothing compares apart from older sony xperia z's i couldn't get the s25 ultra was the design was destroyed, when i got the s24 ultra i was extremely disappointed by the color it's not black it's almost silver bronze, but the worst disappointment was the screen
i have compared my s24 ultra to many screens that i own, my a23 which is a budget samsung phone not even oled but still has great colors in comparison, the s24 ultra has a green tint, gray has a green tint, and compared to my samsung s95d qd oled tv, white is faded and overall colors are faded.
i experienced this nightmare with the note 10 where samsung claimed there was no issues, so i don't expect anything better with the s24 ultra, as samsung seems to not care about color issues on their screens especially if you are someone like me who really wants vibrant and cold colors
i have attached a picture comparing the gray on my a23 to my s24 ultra
do note i prefer my screens very cold and my s24 ultra is set to green and red to 0 while blue is set to max with max brightness adaptive off and vibrancy is set to max, the fold 6 had an amazing screen i had no complaints, my surface pro is also much better in colors gray here is white where it's darker on my a23
nearly blonze compared to my surface pro NOT BLACK
white is much moire faded so are colors

yeah i waited for one ui 7 before i unboxed it, and when i unboxed it it already had the vibrancy slider and the update it needed was to 6.1 and then one ui 7 does that mean it had been returned earlier?

exactly everyone prefers different white balances thats why those settings are needed, sony has white balance settings that gives the screen an obvious color tint if you go too far samsung doesn't do this so if the calibration is off just a little the colors will be completely wrong at the highest end of a white balance setting as it doesn't go far enough to account for the differences

they didn't know about the display the differences are minimal where most people who prefer standard settings don't care so i firmly believe they didn't know but what i do suspect is it had been returned earlier has a samsung s24 ultra ever been sold with one ui 6.1 out of the box?, and selling it is going to be extremely difficult when it's openedit means at best a 100 dollar loss or 300 if i am unlucky and extremely frustrating

thats my point it is not the same and since the calibration settings are so weak you can't do anything about it so this is a nightmare as i wanted this phone to be perfect and now i am stuck with it as i have high doubts samsung will help me with this, and the store itself doesn't care

ok so the fact that i had to update the phone twice out of the box is correct?

ok at least then it hasn't been returned i thought the vibrancy slider wasn't there from the box as it was later introcued
