Hi all, just want to see what apps and phone functionality are using the most power. Is Accubattery better than using the built in phone diagnostics? I appreciate Accubattery will run in the background and potentially contribute to battery use but thinking of seeing what comes back after a couple of days. Thanks in advance.

I've used it, and to be honest it doesn't provide that much more useful info than the in built one. And yes, it will contribute to battery drain. Maybe run it for a few days to see how you find it then uninstall it if you feel the same as me

I personally try to avoid third party apps if I can get away with the built in ones.

It's a little more insightful than the built in battery stats, however I never really found I needed it in the long term. As suggested, try it out for yourself for a bit, if you like it then you can decide.

I've used it for years! It is insightful! But, to get my full battery I charge from under 15% to full 100%... then I'll kill phone from 100% this will get me the full battery capacity..  I'm about 1% less than what app reads.. (reads 5%, I'm at 6% loss, 300 mah! I lose about ¾ mah a day, if I don't fully charge my device (80% battery protect)! Otherwise, full charges kill 1.5 mah of battery capacity! 925 mah is usable life... if someone fully recharges nightly for 20 months..  600  days... x 1.5 mah = 900 battery is deadish the next 2 weeks... thus why some go through phones every 2 years..  battery won't hold much of charge for long...

I've been learning these phone batteries a long 5 years! I just haven't had a phone outlasted my batteries yet! (I get approximately 4 year battery life) at 475 cycle a year... it comes don't to 2 things, don't charge phone in the hot sunlight, and don't overnight charge device! Occasionally 110° hear is ok... screen gets Dim to protect the crystals to avoid burn in... besides dead ishmeal phones do OK at 110° short heat (btw this is just sunlight, like at the beach) normal temperature is 75°... is is optimal for 80% charge. Anyone taken an 80% charged phone to the back (to suffer 110•》 is mad..  Best to keep phone deadish all day...
