I'm using Media File Guardian, part of Good Guardians suit of apps, to periodically clear the edited originals.

You can delete it in My Files, too.
Last week I discovered that Samsung save invisible originals if you use watermark in camera ( S24 ultra, time and date or whatever)

Great, hope some Samsung exec takes note of this?? On the other hand i'm asking myself if this issue is really a Samsung issue or rather something Android 14 messed up?
Btw., when running "Gerätewartung" (Device maintenance on EN devices?) you can find suggestions for freeing more space in storage. There you will see those "invisible" photos and videos, along with how much space they pile up (a lot!!) and you can clear them out one-by-one or all at once.
Still, this means awful druggery - whereas applying a professional solution like real canera editing software offers, with a set choice do stop this hidden backup system, would be recommendable for either, Android or Samsung.
