I got One UI 7 on my Galaxy S24 Ultra and I hate every single change. It is such a big drawback for me, that it's almost a showstopper. I used Galaxy S phone since the S III and I have never been so disappointed.
Is there a way to remove this mess and go back to the previous UI?

All the wasted space for one thing. Ridiculous padding stealing valuable realestate from icons and widgets. The worst battery indicator I have ever seen. - It really discriminates people with accessibility issues. And wtf is that clunky volume-control doing in the quick settings panel? is it placed there just to make it harder to use the brightness-control? I mean, we do have physical volume-control buttons for a reason. And with all the padding I previously mentioned the space left for those controls is now not much more than two finger-widths, so using it for adjusting anything beyond max and min is not worth the effort. And that is just my experience from the first five minutes.

Battery life decreased by hours. Amongst others, you can't adjust the resolution anymore.

Same for me. One of the key problems is that lowering the resolution of the screen is no longer possible in one ui 7. That made a big difference in battery life.

Yes! I have the s24 ultra, and I had the 22 before this. Ever since this update my phone overheats on top of dying quick.

Wrong, your phone is vulnerable right now with the latest security patch until the next one is released and so on. Don't store anything sensitive on your phone which is sound Cyber security practice. The moment you connect you are indefinitly vulnerable as new patches and holes are plugged
