I'm a bit confused to the various methods people are using to open the app,,,,,,,I just unlock my phone and ding, no need to even open the app.

Thanks for answering the question. It does suck because I like the swipe up function. My biggest gripe with Samsung is that it's slow (specifically on my watch). I have to wait for it to load, then put my PJN in... Google is almost instant. I love it. Just wish I could swipe up. Thanks againm

I use Good Lock RegiStar to create a double tap action on back of phone to open Google Wallet. Almost as handy as the swipe up.

How to Use Samsung Wallet's Swipe Up Feature to Open Google Wallet (Solution)
I first want to thank both Robin999 and Members_aO8MChB for helping me to figure this out. Just follow the instructions below and you can swipe up to open your Google Wallet to your heart's content. (See my post below if you want to see the final result in a screen shot.)
Create Routine
If
+ Add what will trigger this routine
App opened (under Event)
Select both Wallets (Samsung and Google)
Done
(Yes, select both Wallets in If: This will show as "If -- App opened -- Wallet or Wallet")
Then
+ Add what this routine will do
All Actions
Close an app
Wallet (Samsung)
Done
+ Add action
All actions
Open an app or do an app action
Wallet: (Google wallet icon) Open Wallet
Done
+ Add action
Connections
NFC
On
Done
When routine ends
Set actions
NFC: Return to status before routine ran (this is added automatically)
Done
Save
Routine Name: Switch S to G Wallet & NFC on
Color: Blue (or pick a color)
Icon: Cart (or pick a icon)
Done

See my post above yours Bupitz on how I already showed how to use a routine to do this, yet also included auto-turning on the NFC when using Google Wallet and then auto-turning NFC off when exiting it -- in the same routine. The trick is to add both Samsung and Google Wallet into the "If" part, so you can then also add the NFC in the "Then" part (shown above).
The problem with a screen capture of this (see below), is that it shows two "Wallets" in the "If" part instead of their specific names, which makes the post unclear. This is why I wrote everything out in the post above yours instead of showing it. However, in this post, I'll include the screen shot if that helps to provide further assistance for you and others. To further clarify the screen shot, I drew an "S" for "Samsung" and a "G" for "Google." I also had to doctor the photo a bit since I couldn't fit this in its entirety since this was longer than the screen.
The end result of my post above yours will look like this:
Switch S to G Wallet & NFC on
