This happened on my S21+ after the OneUI 6 upgrade. The home screen randomly shifts about a cm to the left, losing the left hand side - which then appears overlaying the right hand side of the next screen

It would be helpful if you can post a screenshot @TracyLG 👍
Are you using a ³rd party launcher or a theme or an apk file ?
Did you set up your phone using Smartswitch or Samsung Cloud ?
I ask as you may have moved over something that's causing this.
My advice is to try >
Safe Mode > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.
If that failed I would factory reset and then set the phone up as new i.e not use a backup, but instead download my apps manually via the Playstore and Galaxy Store and then see what happens.
From a quick Google Search >
If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care. 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hi - thanks for that info. I've added the screenshots to the original post
I'm using the standard launcher - and I've cleared the launcher cache as suggested in one of your links
I set it up using SmartSwitch, and I suspect there's something that's been copied over
I'm going to try your ideas - safe mode first, and then the completely new setup... but if I'm going to do that, I'd rather ditch the 24+, and go back to my 21+
Thanks - I'll let you know how it goes

My S24+ has done this a couple of times as well, run mine in 5x6 and have had the same problem

Hi @TracyLG and @Shane1320 (and anyone else experiencing this),
As soon as you can after the issue occurs:
Samsung Members > Support > Send feedback > Error Reports > [select error type] > choose frequency of issue, and write an accurate and good description (and attach any screenshots/pictures/videos showing the issue if you want/are able to) > tick ‘Send system log data’ > Send (the > icon on the top right).
If possible, please include the time information at which the error occurred.
(Or, for a shortcut: Long-press the Samsung Members icon on the Apps screen, and select 'Error reports' from the dropdown menu, and follow the steps from there.)
That will send that report and log files for the Samsung developers to analyse, advise on and/or produce a fix.
Please make sure to check the 'Log Send Completed' message when extracting the device's log before closing it.

Hi - thanks for your help - I resorted to a factory reset and then set the phone up as new
I took the opportunity to remove any apps that I haven't used for years, then downloaded them manually, and everything looks good

I know you probably resolved this but I just had this happen to me and I found an easier way to fix it without having to factory reset your phone. If you go into Settings > App > One UI Home and force stop the app as well as clear the cache (and data if you want) it fixes the problem as well.

This was the solution for me too. Had the Met Office weather widget in top right of home screen. Removed it and not had the issue since. Thanks!
