I have had my s24 ultra for a few months now and I have never had an issue with the screen freezing, it could be the phone.

It's worth Wiping the Partition Cashe on the phone
Could really be anything from a software glitch after transferring data setting up to an app or theme
Wiping the Partition Cashe maybe all that's needed.

Is it something that's happening all the time or when you are doing a certain thing. Maybe one particular app?

Wiping the Partition Cashe clears out a lot of old or corrupted information that can cause issues

Follow the steps below. You must follow every step and you should be done in about a minute

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable
to PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.
Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.
You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.
The Samsung Logo followed by
Samsung Galaxy appears on the
screen.

At this point, release the keys
Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose "Wipe Cache
Partition" .
Use the power button to accept that.
You will then see its cleared.

Then the top option, reboot phone.
Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

As well as the excellent sound troubleshooting step given by @Glenntech  👍 you can also try Safe Mode @diondelboy

More here > Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then ling hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

No
All phones will store old cookies and excess data. Temporary data etc
Wiping the Partition Cashe clears out this data. Effectively clearing rubbish.
All your apps files etc will be perfectly fine and won't be affected.
Sometimes you can get some old data that gets corrupted or interferes with thr normal operation of the phone or apps
I wipe Partition Cashe after every large major software update to keep things running smoothly
