Hi @Quinney
First of all, check that the phone has the latest firmware.
Settings -> Software updates -> Download and install
If a new firmware is available, install it. Then install all updates on the apps from Google Play and Samsung store.
Wi-Fi speed depends on many factors. You could try installing an app which can measure the speed of your connection, e.g Speedtest by Ookla or SpeedCheker Speed test from google play.
Please note that your maximum speed is going to be determined by the slowest link. If your broadband is 50Mbits, then your phone cannot go faster than that. If you have an old router then the phone will only connect at the speed that the router allows.
You could check your router by connecting another device and check what sort of speed it gets. You could also connect your phone to a different Wi-Fi network, e.g. friend or work and do the test to see if you are getting the same speed.
On the phone, you could reset the Wi-Fi settings, you will need to reenter the Wi-Fi networks.
To do it:
Settings -> General Management -> Reset -> Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings and tap the Reset settings button.
Another thing that you could try is clearing the cache partition. This is bit more complicated. See Samsung’s page:
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/
There are several videos on YouTube showing how to do it.
