Hi, does anyone know how I can change the background picture on my Samsung messages app, it's an S24 Ultra and I cannot find a customise chat room anywhere 😫 

Any help would be much appreciated

Ok so it can be done in Google messages. I presume the same process for Samsung Message app.

Go to the message thread and open it.

Click on the round circle with the persons initials in it.

Now click on the icon that looks like it has a person's head (used these days to mean account).

Click on the circle with the same icon as above.

Select your picture.

No, in Google message you can't change background of chat, the best you can do is change colour of bubbles and notification sound, but background of chat can be only dark or light,  depends of system settings

I'm not in RCS, don't use it as not reliable. I use SMS

Oh, I didn't know that. But Google's RCS is much much better than WhatsApp or Viber. And much safer. Google's RCS has never let me down, it's a shame more people don't use it. And I like that I can control who I want to chat with and who I just text.(yes, you can disable RCS with someone and you will receive only sms from that person)
