I know this has been requested before but will do it again just to make it more known to the developers. This should be a stupidly easy fix and apparently even was a feature in previous OneUI versions???
Just a toggle to have Edge Lighting turned on ONLY when the screen is OFF when receiving notifications, and not when the screen is ON. There is no need for edge lighting for notifications when you are already on your phone.
