Has the Galaxy Ultra's Camera Quality Decreased?

Is it me, or is the 100x zoom (or maybe 90-ish zoom) not as good as it used to be? Not sure if I've missed something, but I used to love messing around with moon photography - and it just doesn't seem as detailed at the same level of zoom anymore. Has anyone else found the same? Or any different settings?

The images you capture at the moment will be soft and not as detailed at the moment.
There's a lot of smoke from the Canadian and North American forest fires in the high atmosphere.
That said, unfortunately the S24 Ultra is suffering from the lack of a software update that will hopefully eventually be released
But currently you won't get really decent photos with the atmospheric conditions

I read about the smoke causing hazy skies, but it's fairly clear tonight. I know a DSLR is no comparison, but a friend has crystal clear pictures - so it's not the air quality. Just the camera/phone/sensor.

Disappointing if it's a step down.

True.. S24 Ultra 100x times zoom quality has decreased compared to the S23 Ultra.. I have a post stating the same issue..

I just read it now. Hopefully it's software. I can understand if they used the same hardware - it shouldn't be worse.

Wouldn't expect too much from a 100x digital zoom. And as stated Samsung is working on a massive camera update which happens with all manufacturers cameras get tuned over time

Taken on my S24 Ultra last night. Seems pretty good to me.

i thought i read somewhere that these phones (s21-s24) don't really have the capability to zoom in on the moon as far as what we see when it renders.  I read it was all software generated kind of like "AI" giving us a snapshot of the moon.  I may be wrong in the way I am conveying the message, but I did read that somewhere.
