There's not a way to fully lock a usb drive. Guessing the drive is just setup in a way that android doesn't understand how to write to it anymore

When the pop window appears on the left side select Disk Management.
From there you should see your flash drive. Right Click on the drive and try deleting the partition. Then creating a new partition.🤞🏻 Assuming you're still prepared to lose all the current data on that drive.
