I had same issue in this phone. It seems this issue affects when you put SIM in SIM 1 slot. Try putting your SIM in SIM 2 slot and try to add phone number, for me it worked that way.

- Had the exact same issue. There's a work around. Open your contact app, tap contacts at the bottom, then tap on your own contact at the very top, tap on profile picture sharing and then select add phone number, it's gonna link the current phonenumber on your phone through your sim. If you've got more than one sim it links the default sim, and then once thats done, go back to galaxy sharing and you'll see that number is automatically linked to galaxy sharing then you can setup location sharing on your device and anything else that needed the galaxy sharing setup to work
- N/B : what this does is it takes your phone number from your sim and adds that automatically. So if you have more than one sim on your phone make sure you set the one you want linked as your default sim. From sim manager in settings you'll see that your phone can probably detect the number of the sim you put in it. If it can't detect it then it's probably your carrier's fault.

Has anyone found a solution for this problem? I tried the suggestions above, but none of them worked for me.

I've been facing this error for 6 months and thank goodness, I fixed it today. Go to Settings - Apps - Find Group sharing apps. Then clear data or cache of the app. If it is not yet, uninstall the update of the app by clicking on the right corner 3 dots.
