Finger Scanner not working Samsung S24 ULTRA

I've just got my new Samsung S24 ULTRA I've set up my finger print on the phone but soon as I placed my screen protector on it had stopped working.

I've gone to the relevant settings but still no joy.

Please help as this is driving potty 😆

Hey there and welcome to the Forum.

So I have an S24 Ultra bought direct from Samsung Online. It has a screen protector on it and I have no issue with finger scanner / biometrics.

Are you sure it just isn't recognising the finger print you saved? Maybe delete and set up again?

Hi Piper123 thanks for the welcome to the forum.
I've deleted and set up again, soon as I remove the screen protector it works fine.
I don't know what to do?
The screen protector I've got is from o2 a brand called mobeen.
May be I could change the brand, what brand are you using for your phone?

Screen protector can stop you using the fingerprint scanner properly, you usually have to setup a new fingerprint scan once you've fitted the protector. They are not very reliable.

Register your fingerprints before you apply the screen protector, then after applying the screen turn up the screen touch sensitivity (settings > display> touch sensitivity). Then try using your configured fingerprints, if it doesn't work, re programme the fingerprints with the screen protector on and the display touch sensitivity turn on. This should work. If it works you could try turning touch sensitivity off once you have your finger print reprogramed

Hi Tehki8 I've did all of the above but no joy at all.I've removed the screen protector it works fine.
So I think it's most likely the brand of screen protector which I would need to replace.
Would you be able to recommend any good brands ie from Amazon?

Is the screen protector an anti reflective one or matte version?

I purchased this case and screen protector from mobile fun, I can confirm the fingerprint reader works with the screen protector

I do find if my finger is very dry, then I do need to press harder to get it to read. Otherwise on most day to day, a light press and it reads it no issues

it doesn't work for me either :(((. too bad!!! if I had known about this problem, I would have thought twice.
