The phone battery only does well on WiFi and low brightness, that is, indoors. We have chargers indoors.
Outside (ie. on 4G or 5G) the battery drains like every other Exynos in the past and won't get me through the day even if the only apps I use are Maps, Camera and occasionally Instagram. We were told it would be different this time, so many of us decided to upgrade.. for this.
Disappointing, Samsung. That's not the way to treat your customers. Either offer Exynos models at a lower price to reflect the difference, or treat all equally and use one chipset across the board.

I'm sorry to hear your disappointed with your Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ phone @mich_duj
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Using maps and camera will not last you a day on snapdragon either. But, i get your point

Hi @mich_duj
The SD has been known to be a bit more efficient than Exynos. However, once the phone is over the first few weeks, it tends to have a good battery performance.
How long have you had the phone for?
I have the S24 Ultra and at the beginning the battery performance was "awful". I was struggling to get a full day with barely any use, but after the learning process, it started to improve. However, it was not after 6 weeks that I really got excellent battery performance. The phone reports that a single charge will last over 4 days, but I charge it every 3 days more or less. Of course, it depends on use. Gaming, or any activity using the screen constantly will not render that battery performance.
I know the S24 Ultra uses the SD chipset, but I also have the S22 Ultra which uses the Exynos 2200 and the battery performance is not as good as the S24 Ultra but it can go for 3 days. The Exynos 2400 has shown improvements over the Exynos 2200 used on the S22 series, even on the one used on the S22 FE.
I agree with you on using the same chipset across the board. I would prefer it.

Also under-performs on other stuff like gaming. For someone like me who games about 1.5 hrs to 2 a day, it is very disappointing. Battery drains so fast even on stuff like Uno online and such. But to me the worst this phone has is screen brightness. I placed my phone under the sun besides my mom's Poco X6 Pro and my brother's Moto Edge 30 Ultra and this thing gets 15-20% less brightness than those phones.

I use oly whatsup and browsing and battery is visible draining, before I had A52s with Snapdragon and after 3 years battery is still keeping 50% more than on S24.I am thinking to return it

For mine S24 exynos the problem is with 5G modem is killing the battery in 3 hours ,if I disable 5G network battery life is increased to 7-8 hours.I have an A52s with snapdragon and after 3 years battery life is about 8 hours with 5G enabled.Samsung if will not deployed a fix soon more fans will be gone

I also have the same problem with my S24+ Exynos 2400 which I have had for a month now.
As October 7th with OneUI 6.1 android 14, I have noticed the phone is getting hot during the normal usage with just mobile data on, so sadly I have to charge it twice a day!!!
I prepared a detailed usage status of my battery consumption from 80% to 20% with 2 simcards active (one set to auto 4G and the other on auto 3G/2G),
5G + Wifi + Bluetooth + Location + Hotspot + Battery Protection and all the other unnecessary options were off during my usage, only Sync and Adaptive Brightness were on and the Brightness was near minimum all the time (indoor usage), all the apps and system settings have been on Dark Mode, 120HZ and FHD+.
For 2 hours of screen on: 80% to 60% using Instagram and Telegram one at a time through 4G with the maximum signal bar and all other apps were closed at the background!
For half an hour of screen on: 59% to 49% playing some music offline and simple usage of Chrome!
For 2 hours and a half of screen on: 49% to 19% using Instagram and Telegram again!
I am pretty sure for a 950$ flagship of 2024, battery consumption is awful and it should be much better as my old Xiaomi Mi9T was
