Occasionally following receipt of some notifications my new S24 Ultra continues to repeat the default (Samsung whistle) notification sound non stop. The only way to stop the notification sound is to restart the phone. This even happens when do not disturb is on.. I have disabled repeat notifications in settings.

I would suggest to try > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Thank you BandOfBrothers, very helpful advice. I would just say though that I've only had the phone for a few days, so clearing cache files would seem early?

hi there, you could use the good lock plugin "Nice catch" to see what is causing this issue.

Thank you, I have a look. Strangely enough it like going to the dentist, it's not happened today yet 🤣

I agree unless you've used SmartSwitch to transfer all your apps and stuff from your previous device, if so then worth trying the above and or factory reset.
