Face recognition set up and recognition can't detect my face in slightly lower lighting condition but my face is properly visible on the camera when I test it. It has never happened before on previous Samsung phones.
I've rescanned my face multiple times and in less than ideal brightest day it says that the camera lens may be dirty, it's clean.

I'm very disappointed in myS24 when it comes to face recognition and the fingerprint recognition. The face recognition is about useless. I clean the screen/camera multiple times with no success. I'm sitting in my house right next to a lamp. My son and son-in-law bought Pixel 9 and they say they almost never use the fingerprint sensor since the face detection works perfectly.

I have the same issue with the face unlock detection, also fingerprints are hardly recognized... But I blame the glass screen protective for this. Still... Face is properly seen by the camera, but receiving the same message as camera lens could be dirty. It is not. Keeping fingers crossed that UI 7 will fix this issue.

At times, yes. Sometimes it works without the lick, sometimes it needs some moisture, and other times I have to use something other than fingerprints. I give Samsung a D- for their sensors and implementation. I never had issues when we had the sensor on the back of the device with a dedicated location.

I mean I don't lick them but I've tried to moisturize my hands more, because if they're too dry, yeah it won't work.

I couldn't get facial recognition to work on my S24 Ultra. I tried all the suggested standard setting fixes. Then I accidentally got it to work when I pressed the power button first. But it wouldn't work when I just picked up the phone. Then I learned you have to turn on "Lift to wake". Everything's fine now.
