Face recognition set up and recognition can't detect my face in slightly lower lighting condition but my face is properly visible on the camera when I test it. It has never happened before on previous Samsung phones.
I've rescanned my face multiple times and in less than ideal brightest day it says that the camera lens may be dirty, it's clean.

I just bought a Galaxy S24 Ultra. It's pretty obvious, to me at least, that the facial recognition is a nonstarter. I have a beard, but I had one yesterday when I got the phone, and it has no problem registering my face.

Face recognition in normal and slightly lower light is obviously broken in Galaxy S24 Ultra
Do not buy this device.

Yes 100%
I moved from iphone to samsung this year and unfortunately i feel the difference specially in the face id thing, in dark even if u turned on the option of raising the brightness to help in detecting the face this won't work, i feel it is broken.

I don't think you can expect a fix to this issue. I am a long-time iPhone user, but I desperately want to enter the Android ecosystem since I am not using any other Apple products. Samsung also has great features and nice software, but it's obvious that they are a little behind when it comes to the screen (touch, motion, and face recognition). I now have S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra, and Fold4, and they are all great phones, but opening the phone is like using an iPhone from 2010, and Samsung is way behind on this issue. Notifications on a locked screen are also much. much better on the iPhone, and these two factors make the iPhone a no-brainer for me, so now I am going to buy an iPhone 15 Pro. Opening the phone and a decent notification system is so important, and a mobile phone is all about communication (at least for me). I have wished and wished for Samsung to improve on these two issues, but it will not happen this year, and I don't really think they are capable of fixing it, otherwise they would have already done so.

I've found out that by turning off "open your eyes" works alot more smoother and also in the dark.
Not sure what kind of security does it breaches tho.

When someone is asking for help, do not just create unnecessary noise in the comments.
I don't know about your age or mental capacity, but if there's someone looking for help and you clearly cannot provide any kind of help, then let those speak who can. There are going to be many people reading over your useless replies for months and years to come. Don't be that annoying guy.
