Face recognition set up and recognition can't detect my face in slightly lower lighting condition but my face is properly visible on the camera when I test it. It has never happened before on previous Samsung phones.
I've rescanned my face multiple times and in less than ideal brightest day it says that the camera lens may be dirty, it's clean.
Thanks on the help! S24 Ultra owner.

@Reylob I do nkt have permissions to merge threads.
The Samsung Community Team have merged them.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I did not think you merged the threads, that is why I wrote, it was moved.
I mentioned that you might have posted on the wrong thread, but my line of thinking was that a moderator did some "spring cleaning"
Now we know that @AntS did it.
It was a very funny incident.

@Reylob it should have said " move " not " merge " 😒

@BandOfBrothers that is what I wrote "was moved". Anyway, the key is passive voice, not the verb itself.

I bought S24 Ultra on 2/1/2024 and used for 1 day. It has amazing feature no doubt about it like Camera. What upsets me , the face recognition is not upto the mark and not detecting in low light as well as in daylight. I ignored that, and setup the fingerprint. Even it is not working correctly every first time. I am an iphone 11 user and my phone works smoothly in low light condition and not come across with any issues in past. S24 is a flagship product and I expected the basic features to work smoothly without any glitch. What is the point in bringing lot of additional features in the phone , if Samsung cannot take care the basic technical issues. It upsets me very much as I was waiting for S24 long and I returned the phone without a second thought the very next day.

Really sad to hear this. I bought it through the carrier so I can't return it but wait for a fix.
Thanks on the help! S24 Ultra owner.

I will say, for whatever reason the s24u face unlock is terrible, but both my previous s22u, s10+ & even the TabS6 I still use - all their face unlocking functions worked great & I think it may just be an early adopter bug with the s24 series. I'd give it till a few updates come out to see if they get it ironed out bc yea, mine barely works either, & as nice as it is to have the in display "ultrasonic" fingerprint reader, my s10+ nor my s22u ever worked great, & would 90% of the time need me to press a few extra times to unlock, & it seems this issue is still an issue with the s24 series unfortunately. I'm hoping whatever update they put out will have a fix for the washed out colors on the display too. I'd just wait a bit to see what is done. Also, I use an iPhone14Pro for work, & yea Apples face ID is miles above Samsungs, but at the cost of their huge notch & dynamic islands. Ours will not be as seamless as theirs as long as we just have the hole punch, which is imo better than having a huge dynamic island taking up the top half of my phone.

I have the same problem with the S24 Base Model, the facial recognition only works every now and then. Hoping they get a fix for this or I will be returning the phone.

yes. I am with you on this. This is a flagship product. How can even Samsung expect their customers to wait on the update and resolve it.
