When I go to edit a picture I just took in the gallery on my S24U, after clicking the 4 circles (AI) it shows the options like Spot Color, Lasso, Object Eraser etc but not Face Effects. I took a picture of my dog and wanted to blur the background. I just did this yesterday, where has the option gone?

Thanks.

Edit: seems like it only gives you the option to blur the background if it detects a human face. The Face Options menu doesn't even show up unless there are humans faces. I think this menu should always be there, because you could want to blur the background for a myriad of things like a product that you're taking a picture of, a pet etc..

Hi, if you want to edit in a blurred background, if you open the photo in the gallery and tap the (i) icon in the middle then you get some extra editing options that aren't on the Edit screen. One of them is Background Blur.

It's a bit of a mess, everything should be in one place

Some editing or AI features only appear when it is relevant for the picture in question.

I know that this does implement what you want, but if you want blur background on pet's faces, then taking the picture on portrait mode does a very good job.

It is not out the realm of possibilities that they might implement face detection for pets as well. Sony has had it for a few years already.
