Changed CSC from ACR TO EUX via odin, flashed alongside eux firmware, working fine, done updates and the eux firmware feels more responsive and faster than ACR version.

if youre planning to change csc, youll have to change the firmware also to that same region otherwise youll not get updates!

How do I make sure no one has altered the firmware on the internet

if its altered, then checking in the download mode says unofficial or warrenty as void

if an altered firmware or custom rom is installed, then the knox and payment interface also wont work

Members must also be aware of the pitfalls of going down this particular route. 

As you've mentioned about Knox which may affect Samsung Support under the Manufacturer's Warranty.

knox is working perfect, you have to be aware of the source from which you obtain the firmware

The only way to check the firmware has not been tampered with, it is to have the checksum of the original firmware and check it against they one you download.

The issue here, it is getting the checksum from Samsung to be sure that it is the original one.
