Copy, paste highlights won't work?

How do I  select/highlight something so I can copy it? Phone won't allow me to highlight items to copy and paste. My Nokia did it all the time but it won't  work on the Ultra. I have installed, reinstalled, checked settings,... very,very disappointed in this expensive garbage.

Some Web pages and apps specially stop you from being able to copy and paste.

Nothing to do with you device, but the app developers.

Not saying this is the case for everything you try to copy but just by way of an example, go to your DM messages and try to copy and paste. Won't work as Samsung has blocked it in the app.

Another example take a screenshot of the text open in the gallery see if you can do it that way

My iphone anf samsung 8 allow me to highlight text and copy. There must be something in settings?
