I have had to ditch oneui as it does not work one handed as advertised. The below screenshot highlights a fantastic feature that was baked into good lock but is now gone!

Edit: the missing feature is in the following video: https://youtu.be/0PA5wCYJ3nc?si=EjfagtIhan43bJZa

I have had to switch back to Nova Launcher, which is a shame because I was loving what oneui had to offer. On Nova, I can place my spotlight/universal searcher (finder search) at the bottom of the appdraw, or even add a home screen gesture to universally search (I use double tap to search).

The lack of a one handed universal search option by swiping down within the app draw or on the home screen is a deal-breaker for me. You can even do this on Apple, and have been able to for years!

Samsung please rectify this. Or don't promote your android skin as one handed. Even having the app search (finder search?) at the bottom of the app draw would alleviate this issue.

P.s. I actually read on a Reddit thread that someone contacted Samsung and they said they removed it due to a lack of usage. I'm honestly baffled by this - do people prefer 2 handed phone usage? As a plus varient user, I don't like this.

The old fantastic feature.

A Nova home screen with a one handed app search option. Sesame also works with this.

OneUi search bar at the top! So annoying! The finder access feature made this not an issue.

Samsung take feedback seriously @Wilson2000 as this helps define future changes and updates.

You can do this via your Samsung Members App if you haven't already.

Personally for my pants and needs I do find One Ui meets what I want.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I appreciate the reply very much!

I assume my best bet would be ask the question via the 'Ask questions' tab? I did post using the Samsung members app but this was via the 'write community post' function instead.1711062966017.jpg

If you watch this, you will see what they got rid of.

+1. I desperately need this feature to come back. I loved it when we had it and used it as my only mean of navigation through the UI. Please bring it back Samsung.
