Cannot hear person in calls

I have an S24 and for some reason today when I make a phone call I cannot hear the person at the other end, but they can hear me perfectly fine. I can't even hear when the phone is ringing when I dial it. The audio works fine on everything else, and I can also make WhatsApp calls and hear perfectly fine, but if I just try to do a normal phone call it doesn't work. Is this a known issue and if so is there a way to get it working again?
I put my SIM card in my old S20 and I can make and hear calls perfectly fine so it is not a SIM card or network issue. I also downloaded the Google phone app and having exactly the same problem with that.

For info, my issue has now been resolved. Not sure if it fixed itself after a period of time (5-6 hrs), or it was a hard reboot I performed on the phone by holding down the power and volume down buttons until the phone rebooted.

Glad I didn't do a factory reset!

I'm having this problem now. Calls through wats app fine, nothing from any other call app.

Wife's phone is having exactly the same issue, can't hear anyone on the other side of the call - although we can hear her fine. Call always drops after 20secs as well.

Tried everything besides a factory reset with no luck

Good evening, I am having the same issue too. I have tried numerous suggestions but still no luck. Has anyone had any luck in resolving this issue other than a factory reset?

I'm having the same issue. Callers can hear me, I can't hear them. Whatsapp calls are fine. So frustrating.

I was having this same issue, having noticed it about 24 hours ago.
I tried hard reset (volume down & side button until phone restarts), clearing cache, trying Google Phone app etc but none worked!

Just went on Live Chat with Samsung Support, and I was eventually instructed to head to Settings > Apps > 3 dots menu (top left corner) > Reset App Preferences, and it worked 🥳🥳.

Couldn't wait to share over here as it was driving me MAD, so I'm hoping it helps everyone else out (and that it lasts!).

Having the same issue since today it is really frustrating. Tried everything apart from a factory reset but want to avoid that
