Can you revert the One UI 7 software update entirely?

How do I revert or rollback the OneUI 7 update?

The notification & settings swipe down feature, in conjunction with the app drawer vertical layout, is a pretty egregious muscle memory and reflex change. I would like to revert to OneUI 6 or disable these settings. Does anyone know how to revert the OneUI Update? I've read some mentions of a tool named Odin?

I would like to keep my Samsung, but honestly ... if future updates are more interested in changing HOW I am forced to interact with my phone rather than giving me new features or security enhancements, it might be time to look at competitors.

Forced update on view, themes, look and feel, icons etc... without the ability to full bring it all back is BS. My S24 is now slower and looks like *****. This was for security reasons? Yeah, right, since when did Android users become as tech ignorant as Apple users? Samsung, did you forget who your user base is?

However under the consumers act in the UK I feel this product is not what Samsung is delivering. Samsung was a simple phone to use and the UI was just about right, it was perfect and manageable. Ever since the UI update it has caused major battery concerns and in addition it is making me feel annoyed for this is what I did not buy the phone for. The update is shocking and did not need to affect the UI. The UI is only the UI nothing needed to be changed but only the security. Another reason why the hell has Samsung decided to add more bloatware to this phone? It already has started to die quicker with the update dont need it to die even faster.

There's literally no issues with a forced security update, but completely overhauling the UI without allowing the options to revert back to normal is unnecessary.

Have you any idea how difficult that would be to do?

Yeah, so maybe it would be a better idea not to change a bunch of stuff without reason.

I literally cannot see what the date is anymore besides on the lock screen cause I used to be able to just drag down the notification bar and see it there, but it's gone now. The battery level used to be able to be just a percentage, now it's a forced slider with optional percentage overlaid on it. The search bar in the apps section has been moved to the bottom.

What was the purpose of all these changes? They would take less effort to set them back then it took to change them in the first place.

I literally only updated because Samsung support told me to after NFC suddenly started notifying me of my card in the back of my phone every single time I unlocked without any ability to disable that notification, which was already a dumb problem Samsung gave me two days ago for no reason.

To understand the reasons is to understand android.

Some of the changes such as the search bar at the bottom are driven by Google hence why they cannot be changed. Not Samsung

For most settings, you now have one of the most customisable devices ever. You just need to find where the settings are...

Am I able to change the fact they made it so you get the notifications by dragging down from the center and the quick access bar by dragging down from the sides of the top? Now I have to pay more attention to where I am dragging down from when I used to just be able to drag down once for notifications and again for quick access.

And as for "most customisable", where's the setting to move the app search bar back to the top? Where's the option to make the battery level only a percentage with text and no symbol? Where's the option to change the notification drag down back to cover the entire top of the phone?

Yeah, don't know why you're simping for these ridiculous changes and straight up lying about how amazingly customisable it is when you literally can't even make it similar to how it was before in these settings.

The app search bar has been moved by Google, not Samsung and is part of core Android.

I said this on my previous comment.......
