Can't use contactless payments

For the last week it have had this message come up when opening Google Wallet. 

I tried contacting Samsung on live chat but had to give up as all I was told was nonsense like "make sure the account is funded", and maybe you're not holding the phone correctly. 

Any ideas before I throw the phone out the window? S24 Ultra. Thanks

Hey there

When signing up for Beta, it was clear that Google Pay would not work during the beta process.

A small number of users have indicated that they could still use it but as each beta release came out, one by one they stopped having access.

Hi! I've done some digging and found a Reddit thread that seemed to have no fix.

I also looked on forums and found this:

It appears the "solution" was waiting 24 hours for it to resolve itself. Are you using the beta UI7 by any chance? This can sometimes cause problems.

Personally, I would recommend using Samsung Wallet. If you are having issues connecting your cards to Samsung Wallet, use Curve.

In the meantime, try clearing the cache: Apps > Google Wallet > Clear cache. Restart your phone.

Hello. Thanks for the response. Yes it is the UI7 beta. Unfortunately i can't use Samsung Pay as my bank doesn't support it. I tried clearing the cache but that made no difference. I make sure I carry the physical card now as it was embarrassing when Google Pay wouldn't work in front of a queue of impatient customers!

I can imagine the awkwardness. The bad thing with beta is there will be some issues. I use Barclays and Samsung Wallet doesn't support it. Use Curve! You connect your bank to Curve, and then connect Curve to Samsung Wallet. Don't worry, it's very nicely integrated.

Download curve, connect bank card. Go to samaung wallet, when it askes for bank details- go to curve app- launchpad- account- card details. It'll let you put that in, instead of your bank details

This is one of the things you are warned about when signing up for the Beta Software.
@johnz237 has suggested an option to try.
But as updates come out you may get the option to use Google Wallet again
But while you are a part of the Beta Software. You will have to expect glitches with Software

It was clearly stated when signing up for Beta that Google Wallet wouldn't be available during the beta programme.

It is not an *"issue" at all. It is by design.
