Is anyone else experiencing Bluetooth issues after the latest one ui 8 update? I have a car alarm that connects to my phone and it's been fine until yesterday when I did the update. Now the phone won't stay connected to the alarm, it connects for around 7 or 8 seconds then drops off. Extremely annoying and causing me quite a few issues

Reluctant to do that at the moment as I'll need to repair everything. I have unpaired and repaired already

Clearing the phone cache partition will not change any settings or losing data.

Have you tried booting the phone in safe mode?

How would I clear the phone cache partition? And how would that help with the Bluetooth issue? Not tried booting in safe mode, but have seen it mentioned. What does safe mode do?

To boot into recovery mode and wipe cache partition.

  • Turn off the phone
  • Connect the phone to a computer or another phone using a USB cable.
  • Press power and volume up simultaneously until the Samsung logo appears.
  • It should boot into recovery mode. The volume up and down navigates, side/power accepts choice.
  • navigate to "wipe cache partition"
  • press side button to select,
  • press a volume key to move to "yes"
  • press side button to select
  • Navigate to "reboot system now"
  • Press side button to reboot.
  • The phone should reboot in working mode.

It wipes cache data, Apps can install/store temporary data which is not needed once the app has been installed. Cache is always safe to delete, whether the cache partition of the App's cache.

If you want to clear the cache of an app,

Settings -> Apps -> (tap relevant app) -> Tap "Force stop" button on bottom right.

Go to Storage and tap "Clear cache" button on bottom right.
