Hi @GGMan
Your post tickle my curiosity.
I have a S24 Ultra with the latest update (AXBG). Bixby is working really good for me.
I tried these commands,
Take a selfie, it opened the camera changed to front camera and took selfie.
Then I tried,
Take a photo, it opened the camera and took a photo with the front camera as it was left from previous command.
So, I tried
Take a photo with rear camera, it opened camera changed to rear camera and took a picture.
Finally, I tried
Take a selfie in portrait mode.
It opened the camera, changed to front camera, changed to portrait mode and took the picture.
I thought it was really good. I do not use Bixby for taking pictures, but I can see its value.
Have tried, clearing cache or data from the Camera and Bixby? Additionally, you could also clear the cache partition.
On Bixby settings -> advanced features -> Off line processing -> On ( I toggled this On)
I do not know if that might have helped to the functioning of Bixby. I could see that you had Wi-Fi and mobile data, but I wonder if there is connection issue.
By the way, this is the link form Samsung support to clear cache
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/
For the cache partition, the phone must be connected to a computer or phone and if you miss booting into recovery boot, turn off the phone and tried again.

Have you tried deleting the commands and resetting them back up @GGMan 🤔
Also Samsung can be sent feedback via their Samsung Members App.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Though it doesn't switch between lens.
But you can change between modes, swap to the selfie camera. Take burst shots etc

I do like bixby for controlling the phone, especially changing font size when I don't have my glasses at hand. 🥸
