BEWARE - S24 series incompatible with older Samsung watches

I was excited to receive my new S24 today, but as I tried to set up my Gear S3 it shows as incompatible. 

So I have a choice - keep the watch that came with the phone that I didn't want or need, or send the phone back!

I'd presume it's more of an app update issue. Since the s24 ultra is the first with one ui 6.1


Maybe you should wait a week or two and try again.

@Mr_Ed  Sorry that you are disappointed but Gear S3 will not be compatible. However you obviously had strong reasons for purchasing the phone and in my view  the smart watches have improved over the years.

Not really, the only reason to buy was the launch offer essentially made the phone a free update. I doubt I'll use the AI much.

I have to agree that is disappointing being a Samsung Gear s³ Frontier Watch owner myself which I use at work and then a Samsung Watch⁴ Classic when I'm not at work. 

Is it a deal breaker 🤔  Not sure. 


Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
