I'm frustrated to tears. I cannot figure out why I cannot rely on my Galaxy 24's alarm to work properly. I have NEVER had an issue with a phone not waking up during an alarm. It has been such a problem, that I bought a physical alarm clock instead and have to use that. This morning, i set an alarm for an hour, using my phone instead of my alarm clock because of daylight savings time and not having changed  my other clock just yet... and even though I can confirm the alarm settings appear to be correct, my son is now two hours late to school this morning. Again. This has happened too many times and I'm frustrated to tears. I might as well kiss my kids goodbye, because my ex wants to relocate with my kids, and I look like I can't get my school on time, which weakens any argument I can bring to the table. I've never had an issue with any other phone. NEVER.

Hi! This is very personal and probably not the best place to share such details, as the reactions may not be great. I would speak to someone about that.

I'm sorry to hear you're distressed!

In terms of your alarms:
Go to the clock app, settings, volume, and turn it all the way up. If you're worried, maybe try downloading a third-party alarm app?

Hi @Alcestis

I am very sorry you are experiencing these problems.

Let's see if we can help you with the alarm. You mentioned that the alarm is unreliable, but did not mention which specific problem you are experiencing. Is it that the alarm does not go off or too low?

I am not sure if you are using the alarm or the timer. I say this because you set an alarm for an hour which seems closer to the timer than the alarm.

I saw that you make sure the settings are correct. However, please do check that when setting the alarm the correct days of the week are selected, M T W T F S S. It is common that some times we set the alarm but we do not select the right day of the week.

Please also go into the settings of the alarm and:

Tap the Alarm sound -> Ringtone and select a loud ringtone, also slide the alarm volume to the maximum.

You could also check on

Settings - > Sound and vibrations -> Volume  and slide up the volume for

Ringtones

Notifications

System

Bixby voice

By the way, you are posting on the UK site. We do not change to summer time until the 30th of March.

I really hope that at least your alarm does not add to your difficulties, All the best.
