Just wondering does my S24U still keep on learning my battery usage if I keep it on Maximum protection or does it only learn if select adaptive? I'm really trying to get around 9 hours of SoT with my S24U, because I've seen people saying theirs is getting 10½ hours or so of SoT; I've been getting like 6 hours with most unused apps put into deep sleep. I've upgraded from a Note 10+ so I'm going to be keeping this phone for a while. Any tips or suggestions?

Don't fuss about SoT if it can last you more than a days use. SoT is very subjective and wholly dependant on the user, their settings and apps used and their circumstances (WiFi or mobile data). If you find it running a bit short for your tastes, try following some battery saving tips from various sources online, usually involving using 4G and disabling 5G, using a fixed brightness, turning off Bluetooth and/or NFC etc.

For me personally, I aim for 1h SoT/10%, anything higher is a bonus. The S24 Ultra I have easily achieves this and has been a slight bump over my S23 Ultra.

Battery learning only happens once when you first get the new phone.
Occasionally can get it after a software update.
So changing settings wont affect that.
SOT is completely subjective and totally dependent on what each individual uses.
Dependent upon what is installed etc etc
Even phone signal strength
Your better off measuring your usage and trying different things
I don't use any battery saving things and still get 1.5 to 2 days
I'm paying a lot for my phone and want to use the performance potential of it
So maximum screen resolution etc

Yep, that is what I was mainly looking out for, to see if it drain about 10% every hour. I barely have any apps considering I have only used 84GB out 512 😅. And I use this phone at its maximum settings such as 120Hz and QHD+ on top of that it seems like my most popularly used apps are Youtube, Reddit, and Snapchat with of course small uses of other apps.

I mean I received my S23U last Saturday so should I still keep it on maximum and let it learn or use it on Adaptive?

My advice is just to use it as you normally would. Probably the best way.
Otherwise it's not going to condition to how you normally would use it.
The software is continually optimising anyway

I am getting insane battery life. More than i have had on any of my previous phones . Definitely more than s22u. Had 5 + hours of SOT with 68% battery still left. Thing about SOT is it really depends on what you use your phone for when the screen is on. Gaming or processor/gpu intensive activities will sap the battery unfortunately. I mostly just use the browser YouTube and social media. Another thing is it wasnt this good after unboxing the 1st few days it was as bad as my previous phone. 5-7 hours sot. Its been nearly a week now and its gotten better.

So one more thing to note is if you're up and about on cellular network the battery does deplete faster. I was at home all of today on wifi. Setting wise nfc on wifi-on location/gps-on brightness is adaptive. Eye comfort on again adaptive, colour tone adaptive. Battery protection adaptive, motion smoothness adaptive. Resolution FHD+ not WQHD i think this makes a big difference.
