ever since i got this phone it was working very well and smooth,  that was until i decided to update it which i should have never done, now the phone constantly drops between 24 to 30 and 60hz when typing or watching videos and its annoying as hell, is there any fix for this? because i did not pay 900 bucks for a stuttering piece of *****

i do not have any complaints about the battery it does last a while even on constant use but that does not explain the weird switching between 30 and 60 constantly sometimes that it becomes stuttery, even when i use 60hz mode it does this

alright i cleared the partition cache and the stuttering with the constant switch between 30 and 60hz stopped, now its just either 30fps or 60fps depending on the video for some reason but no longer constant switches, unfortunately the big contrast increase on videos like HDR ones still increases the color and dims everything else even with the option turned off in settings

Does it make a difference for you when ON?

the HDR options? no they do not change anything at all for youtube and other apps with videos that were created with HDR, it just dims everything else and increasing the video brightness itself

Youtube has also some settings like ambient mode etc. Have you tried those? ON and OFF

You might also have to manual switch youtube to the highest available viewing option it's been uploaded.

Generally it defaults to auto and low res

(view in My Videos)

here is how it is for me

ive never had this issue on my previous s20 with 60hz mode, one can clearly see the stuttering on it, im thinking of using the pc to force constant 120hz everywhere to fix this

Video currently being processed on YouTube could be it was just recently uploaded and so best to wait for a day or two.

Unfortunately uploading videos here members apps take a while for use to see. So links are more helpful.

Is your screen clean from smudges.
Does it happen to actual videos on YouTube ? Not shorts.
As could be the way the video has been shot or uploaded.

Also you need to turn OFF the htz displayer. Its definitely giving you unnecessary anxiety keep it ON displaying the htz all the time. 😂
The display htz is hurting yeah 😊

Just enjoy the content.

Do try it with normal youtube videos and let us know

Maybe try mkbhd videos
