Anybody have issues charging a Galaxy S23FE in the car? My new car has wireless charging but instead of charging the phone it seems to drain it. Any ideas gratefully accepted thanks.

This suggests that the wireless charger isn't providing enough power.

Are you using a case? Does it have the metal ring to allow for it to pasthrough? Have you tested your cars wireless charger on another device with the same requirements?

Thanks John Yes. I've even had the car back to the dealer, and they've tested any number of phones and the charger. Can't find fault. Yes I have a case with a ring on it. The car is acknowledging connection to the phone, just won't charge it. I'll try it without the case but who uses a phone without a case?

Maybe worth a try. Also- have you looked at the cars manual and its rated Watts for wireless charging? At least 15w

When they've tested other phones did they successfully gain charge?

Have you set fast wireless charging to on.

Yes, apparently the other phones did charge. I'll check the rating of the charger but I'd be surprised if that's the issue with a brand new Mercedes GLC. Thanks

Maybe less of a problem, but more a matter of insufficient wattage. It may be worth testing another wireless charger to determine the source of the problem.

Thanks again. I can charge the phone using the Samsung wireless charger on my desk. I must admit that the S23FE is the worst phone I've had in recent years so fully suspect that to be the problem

If it works fine on the charger at home then it has to be the car not giving rnouth watts no?
