Been Samsung user since the very start, Samsung always stood out from Apple because of thier memory card slot.
By now I would have upgraded to Samsung s23 ultra from Samsung Note 10 plus.
I waited for Samsung to reverse the decision of micro sd card slot, a tiny slot which is used by millions around the world who depend on these micro sd of thier work, back up incase the phones crashes, which has happened to some people I know.

I was going got 1TB ultra, which would have been ideal space, but none of the UK mobile networks have this size, the only option you have to buy directly on Samsung. I tried purchasing it by flex programme, was declined....my credit history is good!!

I have accounts with Argos, Very etc but none of these have 1TB

Samsung have really gone the Apple way! In the past Samsung made fun of Apples way of business, but now they are copying Apple 🤐

Samsung you have disappointed millions of your loyal customers......please bring back memory card slot, I'm sure alot of customers aren't buying or upgrading due to this.

Also it will make things easier if networks have 1TB!

I don't think there is any chance of sd card support coming back. Its not copying Apple so much as the Cloud now here, so backing up to the cloud makes more sense. If you have a Google drive account you can get up to 1tb in the cloud, office 365 offer it too. Yes they are paid version but if you have them already you can utilise the storage for back up too

Amazon prime offer unlimited photo back in full resolution

Or do as I did, have a home Nas and backup to there assuming you know how to do that and your Nas supports it

There are loads of options really

Not saying SD card isn't great too but so many better options I should say. I used to love the SD Card support but don't really miss it anymore

That's the thing, I will never go on cloud. I just found out, you have to be online to access your files & photos etc.

The other thing I don't understand, why UK networks don't have the 1TB version, it would have things easier to buy it through your network on monthly payments.

Also, buying directly on Samsung for £1599 with a charger, earphones, etc is a downgrade from Note 10 plus, S20

Everyone has their own view and preferences I guess

As to why network providers dont provide that option, that's a question for the providers. I am sure Samsung would provide it to them, no reason I can think of to hold that option back, but this just my opinion

You can keep local copies of your files too, just back to the cloud or computer manually

Robot, I get what you're saying. I also back up my files on a hard drive, memory card.

This is more about back up, it's about the convenience of having all your files etc in one place.

I still have to keep my note S10 Plus for backup purposes

Also if Samsung wants to make money, Samsung does produces SD cards. They can come up with a idea of only using Samsung micro SD cards in thier flagship, I would be so happy if s24 has this option.

I don't usually reply to trolls like you.

Firstly, I didn't asked you, secondly, you've obviously no one asked you to read and reply to this post.
Thirdly, it's a open forum, I can ask and write whatever I want.

Oh! When did Apple ever have micro SD cards slot!

Give it a rest!
A troll who's probably didn't have anything else to add to the topic!!!

This question is often asked in the Community, I appreciate that some customer feel strongly about the SD card slot but Samsung are unlikely to have a rethink on this.   The focus is now on Cloud storage and bigger internal storage options are  now available.  1 TB was available direct from Samsung for both the S22 and S23 Ultras.

For those who so not like cloud storage as has been mentioned Local Storage is another choice  (personally I use   both), though will not suit everyone.  Not been a big fan of SD cards in recent years as they are not the fastest technology and can be prone to error (though there are some premium ones available)

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
