who's upgrading to the S23 Ultra Lineup?

I'm upgrading my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra simply because it being a snapdragon chip ane not exynos!

I can understand anyone wanting to upgrade from S22 to S23. Like a lot of people, I have had a nightmare with the S22 Ultra. A lot of the problems have been resolved now via updates but there are still connectivity issues across all the connections I.e Mobile network, WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC. I did blame the Exynos originally which although I'm convinced is inferior to the snapdragon and commentators announced a while ago that Samsung is using the Snapdragon in the S23. I'm suspicious that there could be an issue with the network chip or antenna as the bulk of issues I have had have either been directly or indirectly linked to network connectivity e.g Microsoft apps such as Outlook that freeze or crash if the network drops, games that rely on network connectivity to function fully, finding and connecting to Bluetooth devices and tap to pay etc. There is something in the background that seems to cause ad hoc issues which I don't experience with other phones. I take a cheap backup mobile with me for occasions when this S22 Ultra fails which happens occasionally and can be a pain if you're with a customer and need to take a payment or at checkout and need to pay etc

Whilst I would be tempted to trade this phone in, I have paid way too much for it to trade in after only a year and I will need a lot of convincing to risk upgrading to another Samsung phone so I would wait and read some independent reviews a few months after release before taking the plunge

I have stuck with Samsung from the S6 and have always been pleased but the S22 Ultra has made me hesitant. I certainly wouldn't tough anything with an Exynos

I would normally wait for 2 or 3 releases before upgrading but may upgrade earlier from this phone, my dilemma is when and whether to risk another Samsung? Hopefully whatever went wrong with the S22 gets sorted

I'm having the same main reason to change to s23 ultra from s22 ultra, getting rid of exynos.

Not for me. Personally I don't think the performance upgrade and megapixels are worth the squeeze on the wallet!

Fortunately for moi, a sold iPhone 13 pro Max and my s22u traded in, I was able to get the s23u 512gb with £27 still left in my wallet.. Just enough to get a screen protector and spigen case...

Aye, just gone for it on the S23 Ultra 1TB version. In the UK so I will have the 14 days online purchase/return and refund thing to see how it stands up to the S22 Ultra I'm currently using.

Mainly gone for the Camera upgrade, although the front one seems to be a downgrade (gone down from 40 to 12MP)

Pricing and offers were a bit disappointing although not unexpected. Nothing like what was offered with the S21 series when that came out.
