Very low media volume on bluetooth

Hi, just got my Galaxy buds 2 to use on a trip and I can hardly hear them they are so quiet!

Spotify, YouTube or Samsung music player is almost pointless. 

Making a call they are still as loud as ever, but any other sound is so quiet it makes it almost impossible to hear the sound. 

They have worked perfectly until the phone update a few days ago.

No update for the buds available.

Any help or pointers please.

Silly question I'm sure but when you are using the buds, have you changed the volume?

On the S23 Ultra everything is customisable even down to volume settings for everything.

No, I've tried that. I was on a 5 hr flight and tried every setting on the phone. They are absolutely fine when making a call. Just not when listening to anything else. Had them for a couple of years but not used massively, so they are in perfect condition. It's ever since my phone did an update 3 days ago

I had the same problem and in the end got rid of them. I've never had a pair of Samsung buds that were loud

Same thing is happening with me i was also in a 3 hour flight and my bud's was connected with a very low volume neither it's increases nor decreases but after restarting my phone it got normal and again this same problem occurred this is happening after the update and my battery is draining very fast with overheating issues what is the solution for this @samsung

Okay I struggled for an hour and a half with this after getting the s23 FE.

The solution was to setup "separate app sound", target the apps I listen from on my Bluetooth headphones, and default them to the headphones. Now I can increase the audio on my headphones above the base phone volume which I have set at max.

Same issue, my solution was restart. After restart the problem disappeared.
