After updating my phone to OneUI6 Android 14 my smart case is no longer working and today I have discovered the NFC isn't working either so no longer able to pay for anything. Both stopped working after the update. Have tried contacting Samsung who just say clear the cache which I have done, there are no service centres near me for me to go to. Have logged a error report which they said they would get back to me but have heard nothing. Anyone else had any issues or know how I get this update off my phone and go back to what it was

Forgive me if you already tried this, but is NFC enabled in Quick panel?

I had an issue when I upgraded my main device to Android 13 Beta program. When the delta version was released, Samsung kept confirming that I had the proper version but Google Wallet did not work saying my OS was not secure.

In the end, I had to. Visit the Samsung Centre in Oxford St where they backed up and flashed my devices OS. Then reloaded Android 13.

Although if you haven't joined the beta program, you may have another issue. Suggest booking an appointment at the Samsung Centre.

Usually they do this for free.

You never directly responded to my post, the one where I posted a screenshot of Quick panel showing the NFC option. 

To be certain, NFC is in fact enabled in Quick panel?

@davehorne sorry I did reply but just looked at my reply didn't post. I was away at the weekend and the signal was awful. Yes NFC is enabled in the quick panel

If you go to support in the members apps. Diagnostics, check nfc comes up with any faults. If all comes up ok, wipe the phones cache partition, while in recovery mode after wiping cache partition you can also repair apps. As for the smart case, wipe the cache for the smart case app. Remove the case. Reboot your phone holding both power and volume down until phone powers off itself. Once it's restarted and unlocked apply the case on the phone.

USB-C headphones will no longer work to get into recovery mode. Either plug into a PC, some have been able to on another device. I use my Samsung tablet. Or even a USB port on a TV. Read through all the link before you go ahead with wiping cache partition.
