Hi all Samsung users I need help . My phone usb tethering is not working when I connect cable to my laptop or Samsung SSD device. I don't know what happen with my phone. Charging is working perfectly and smart switch is working with data cable and wireless but USB tethering isn't let me connect with laptop or Samsung SSD device. I want to move all my photos in SSD device. Any idea whats wrong with my phone?

A new security feature was added in one ui 8 relating to usb connections. Connect your phone to your laptop, then you have to open your notifications, press the usb notification and set it to file transfer mode.

It used to automatically just enable file transfer mode. Now you have to manually enable it. Stops chargers reading your data if someone put something inside it

I tried my best but there are all fade options I can't open it.

When I connect to my laptop that's option comes and nothing else shown here. How I press files transfer manually?

That happen comes after new software update ui 8.0 before it was working perfectly

Have you checked if autoblocker in settings is set to max? If so try to turn off autoblocker and see if it works

Also you can try to turn developer options on your phone : Settings > about phone > software information > tap on build number 7 times and developer settings should appear at the bottom of your settings.

After that find section default usb configuration and select one of the following.
