I have been doing some testing with 5g sims and phones to try and achieve beyond 350mbps and found the problems are connectivity wise, ie the USB port on the pc and the usb(c) cables must be 3.2 capable.
I managed for a second to get my pc to reach almost 600mbps inline with what the phone was getting so pretty much a matching speed which is great.
But now the phone usb tether just disconnects after a few seconds.
I have a few more tests to do going back to a usb2.0 cable and see if that works ok. And I will pose the results here but for now, does anyone know more on what could be causing the disconnections ? every time it lasts a few seconds or so, longer but not by much or a little quicker too.
PC and cables all seem fine as I am using a z flip4 and that is solid. It really does seem phone related. (s23u)

Strange, connecting it back on a USB 2.0 port witha 2.0 cable (I think) and it stays connected.
Confirmed.

Hi, that seems to sound about right with what I experienced but my concern is the disconnecting. It wasn't doing this a few weeks ago. THe only advice I saw was to reboot.

Incompatibility with Higher-Speed Cables:
Some users report that using cables with higher amperage (e.g., 5-amp) can lead to network disconnections and instability when tethering, particularly with movement.
Samsung's Solution was supposed to be a software fix. When will it be done?

The z flip didn't discounnect but then it wasn't a 3.2 post.

Sorry was referring to the Samsung Ultra S25. That was the reply I got from Google search. A fix will be forthcoming but when?
